In the IT Department: Identity and Access Management (IAM) Solution, like Single Sign-On (SSO) and Provisioning provide a whole host of benefits to the organization. But implementing them is not easy. An IAM Assessment, whether formal or informal, is the first step toward understanding the existing environment and selecting an appropriate solution set. Our IAM Assessment has over a dozen distinct activities to assist your organization in defining and selecting the optimal solution.
Provisioning is an application that significantly simplifies the process of setting up new users. Unlike SSO, which benefits the end users every day, Provisioning solutions benefit the IT staff. As part of the IAM Assessment for Provisioning, we identify or define organizational roles and the resources required for those roles. When a new user is provisioned for a specific role (like bank teller, or oncologist), user accounts and passwords are created for the applications associated with their role. When a user changes roles, say from bank teller to head teller, that user’s access is modified to reflect their new role.
DBLS is familiar with and authorized to deploy IAM Solutions that incorporate both SSO and Provisioning.
